As part of AUN-QA capacity building for assessors, the 1st and 2nd AUN-QA Assessors Training Workshops were held on 3 December
2008 and 12 - 13 October 2009 respectively.
The workshops were facilitated by Assoc Prof Tan Kay Chuan and Mr
Johnson Ong from the National University of Singapore. 19 assessors were trained in the 2 workshops.The
objectives of
the workshop were:
§ Share knowledge and
experiences in AUN-QA quality assessments
§ Develop the level of
competence of AUN-QA assessors
§ Develop a pool of trained
AUN-QA assessors
The workshop covered a brief development of AUN-QA, AUN-QA criteria and the quality assessment process. Hands-on exercises requiring participants to conduct a desktop assessment at programme level based on the self-assessment reports.
