ASEAN-QA Squared Workshop

The ASEAN-QA Squared Workshop was jointly hosted by University of Potsdam and University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City from 27 to 29 July 2016 in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam. The workshop is part of the ASEAN-QA Project which is a collaboration among AQAN, AUN, DAAD, ENQA, HRK, SEAMEO RIHED and University of Potsdam.

The 3-day workshop encompasses ADDIE Framework, Learning Theories and Practices, and Training Evaluation. The learning outcomes are:
  • plan and implement training and workshop to support quality assurance and enhancement
  • evaluate concepts and methods of delivery according to their target audience and goals
  • evaluate different approaches and possibilities to support quality enhancement through training, workshop and further education offers in their institutions
  • select different didactic approaches for activities
  • respond to the challenges of addressing a diverse target audience with different starting points
The workshop was attended by 23 participants from Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines,Timor Leste and Viet Nam. Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin, AUN-QA Expert was one of the key facilitators at the workshop and he facilitated the sessions on ADDIE Framework, Learning Barriers, Experiential Learning and Training Evaluation.

Pilot AUN-QA Workshop for Accomplishing Institutional Assessment

The pilot AUN-QA Workshop for Accomplishing Institutional Assessment was jointly hosted by AUN and VNU-Hanoi in Hanoi, Viet Nam from 20 to 22 July 2016.

The 3-day workshop aims to introduce the AUN-QA framework and enhance quality assurance practices based on the latest version of AUN-QA framework at institutional level (2nd version). The content of the workshop encompasses:
  • Education Ecosystem
  • The Need for Institutional Assessment
  • AUN-QA Framework and Criteria for Institutional Level
  • SAR for Institutional Assessment
  • SAR Review
  • AUN-QA Institutional Assessment Process
The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin, AUN-QA Expert together with Dr. Tan Kay Chuan from the National University of Singapore. The workshop was attended by 24 participants from De La Salle University, Mahidol University, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Indonesia, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Malaya, VNU-Hanoi and VNU-Ho Chi Minh City.




AUN-QA Assessment at Institutional Level

The AUN-QA Assessment at institutional level and the "Guide to AUN-QA Assessment at Institutional Level (Version 2) were launched on 19 July 2016 at Vietnam National University-Hanoi, Viet Nam. 







The AUN-QA framework for institutional level consists of 25 criteria covering strategic, systemic, functional and results as illustrated below.


The Guide was endorsed at the 32nd AUN Board of Trustees Meeting held in Phuket, Thailand on 3rd August 2016.
