The PROCESS Approach to Self-Assessment
Self-assessment is a comprehensive and systematic review of
an organisation’s activities and performance against a
chosen standard (like the ISO 9001/4, AUN-QA, SQA, etc.) or a set of criteria that is critical to
the success of the organisation. The self-assessment should cover the key
activities and performance indicators of the organisation’s business. It should be systematically carried out based on the process and system approach principles. The PROCESS approach is a 7-step process
encompassing Purpose, Readiness, Organisation, Communication, Execution, Self-diagnosis and Sustenance as illustrated below.
The PROCESS Approach to Self-Assessment was presented by Johnson Ong Chee Bin at the "Sustaining Business Success through Quality Management Standards" Seminar at the Launch of SS ISO 9004 : 2009 in Singapore on 11 January 2010.
