Building and Implementing Graduate Attributes Workshop for VNUHCM

The building and implementing graduate attributes workshop was hosted online by the Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City on 19 February 2021 (8.00am to 12.30pm) with the following learning outcomes:

  • Describe graduate attributes;
  • Explain the need for graduate attributes; and
  • Apply systemic approach to develop, implement and evaluate graduate attributes

The workshop was designed and facilitated by Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin, Founder and Principal Consultant of Education Quality International and AUN-QA expert. The workshop was attended by key management staff and project members.

Happier Employees Work Better

The 1st "Happier Employees Work Better" workshop was held on 28 and 29 January 2021 at Hilton Hotel, Singapore. The workshop is a collaboration between ASK Training Pte Ltd and Living Better. The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin, Chief Happiness Coach of Living Better.

The objectives of the workshop are:

  • appreciate the benefits of happy employees
  • relate happiness DNA to workplace happiness
  • apply the workplace happiness DNA to cultivate a happy workforce
  • nurture a culture to sustain workplace happiness




3rd and 4th Online Workshop on AUN-QA Programme Framework Version 4

The 3rd and 4th online workshops on AUN-QA Programme Framework Version 4 were held on 19 to 21 January and 25 to 27 January 2021 respectively. The workshops were coordinated and hosted by University Information Technology, Myanmar. The project is a joint community service between AUN-QA Network and Education Quality International (eqi) to uplift and develop and sustain quality assurance of higher education in CLM countries.

The workshops were attended by 88 participants from various information technology and other universities in Myanmar and facilitated by Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin, Founder and Principal Consultant of eqi and Dr. Nguyen Thi My Ngoc, Deputy Director, Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City.  

The workshops equip participants with the ability to:

  • Identify the quality assurance ecosystem;
  • Describe the AUN-QA framework;
  • Apply the PDCA approach to AUN-QA programme assessment;
  • Interpret the AUN-QA criteria for programme level; and
  • Write self-assessment report (SAR)

4th International Conference on Health Sciences Pedagogy at De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute

Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin, Principal Consultant of Education Quality International and AUN-QA Expert was invited as the key speaker at the 4th International Conference on Health Sciences Pedagogy- Quality Assurance: The ASEAN University Network Perspective hosted by De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institution, Philippines. The webinar was held on 13 January 2021, 9am to 12noon and attended by more than 280 participants. The talk was part of the community service offered by  Education Quality International.






Applied Approach to Designing and Implementing Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) at CamED Business School

The Applied Approach to Designing and Implementing Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) at CamED Business School (Cambodia) was hosted online for the faculty members of CamED on 9 and 10 January 2021. The workshop was graced by Mr. Casey Barnett, President of CamED and attended by 20 faculty members. The expected learning outcomes of the workshop were:

  1. Implement integrated OBE framework in curriculum design, development, and evaluation;
  2. Apply the principle of constructive alignment to align stakeholders’ needs, curriculum, learning outcomes, teaching and learning, and student assessment;
  3. Apply revised Bloom’s Taxonomy in writing learning outcomes;
  4. Select appropriate instructional and assessment methods to achieve learning outcomes; and
  5. Design student assessment rubrics and marking schemes to achieve learning outcomes.

Curriculum Development and Quality Assurance Sharing Conference

The "Curriculum Development and Quality Assurance Sharing Conference" was jointly organised and hosted by the LuxDev LAO/031 Project Office and the Faculty of Law and Political Science (FLP) of the National University of Laos (NUOL) on 6 January 2021 (8.30am to 12noon) at FLP Campus.

The sharing conference was held to share FLP experiences with the Faculty of Law and Administration (FLA) of Champasak University and the National Institute of Justice (NIJ). The sharing by FLP was on the implementation of quality assurance processes and curriculum review. Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin and Dr. Nguyen Thi My Ngoc shared the Terms of Reference (TOR) for 2021 in the next phase of LAO/031 project development.

The sharing conference was graced and opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khamphong Nammavongmixay, Vice President of NUOL and Assoc. Prof. Viengvilay Thiengchanhxay National Project Director of Project LAO/031 and Dean of the FLP. The conference was attended by more than 40 participants including representatives from FLA and NIJ.

2nd Online Workshop on "AUN-QA Programme Framework (Version 4)"

With the launch of the revised AUN-QA programme framework version 4 in November 2020, the second online workshop coordinated by Kyauske Technological University was held from 28 to 30 December 2020. The workshop is a joint community project between AUN-QA Network and Education Quality International (eqi) to uplift and develop and sustain quality assurance of higher education in CLM countries.

The workshop was attended by 39 participants from various technological universities in Myanmar and facilitated by Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin, Founder and Principal Consultant of eqi and Dr. Nguyen Thi My Ngoc, Deputy Director, Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City.  

  • The workshop equips participants with the ability to:
