Research has found that there is an increase in brain activity associated with positive emotions during meditation. People who meditate tend to register more activity in the happy part of their brain which makes them feel more positive about their life. Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin was invited to give a talk on "meditation" at the National University of Singapore, Office of Estate and Development.

3rd AUN-QA Training Course for Accomplishing Programme Assessment
The 3rd “AUN-QA Training Course for Accomplishing Programme Assessment” was organised for members and non-AUN members by AUN Secretariat. The 4-day workshop was held from 4 - 7 December 2012 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The 4-day course aims to introduce the AUN-QA system and enhance quality assurance practices. It is held for professionals who are in charge of quality assurance at programme and/or institutional level from universities inside and outside ASEAN.
The content of the workshop encompasses:
- Introduction of quality assurance in higher education
- AUN quality assessment process
- Self-assessment at programme level
- Study visit to Chulalongkorn University
The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin together with facilitators from the National University of Singapore. The workshop was attended by 35 participants from Brunei Darrusalam: Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, Indonesia: University, Bogor Agricultural University, Universitas Indonesia, Hasanuddin University, Universitas Mahendradatta, Malaysia: Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Philippines: Saint Louis University, Centro Escolar University, Thailand: Suranaree University of Technology, Srinakharinwirot University, King Mongkut's University of Technology, Chulalongkorn University, Naresuan University, Rajamangala University of Technology, Bangkok University, Vietnam: Hoasen University, and Yemen: Ibb Univeresity.
